ASPIRE YOUTH DEVELOPMENT WORKER

 

You will develop and deliver provision with children and young people (aged 9-19) who have high functioning Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASCs) across Cambridge city and the surrounding area supporting them to overcome challenge, and develop social skills and emotional wellbeing. You will work as part of a team of youth workers and volunteers to deliver weekly social groups, shared interest groups, one-to-one work, outreach through schools, school based intervention and transfer support, trips and residential experiences that enable children and young people who are on the autistic spectrum to overcome challenge and develop personal, social and spiritual well-being. 

 

2 year fixed term with probable extension

22.5 - 37.5 hrs p/w

Salary range:  £19,819-£21,693 pro-rata

LEAD YOUTH DEVELOPMENT WORKER – TRUMPINGTON

 

You will pioneer, develop and deliver youth work provision in Trumpington - an area experiencing rapid growth in the south of Cambridge City - supporting young people (aged 10-21) to overcome challenge, live fulfilling lives and inspire change in the world around them. You will develop and coordinate a team of youth workers and volunteers to deliver detached sessions, one-to-one work, young-people-led group activities, open access youth clubs, school based early intervention and transfer support, alternative education work and residential experiences that enable young people to overcome disadvantage, and develop personal, social and spiritual well-being.   

 

2 year fixed term with probable extension

37.5 hrs p/w

Salary range:  £22,401 - £24,657
