Romsey Mill Pre-School Assistant
18hrs per week
(38 weeks term time only)

Romsey Mill is a leading Cambridgeshire-based charitable organisation with a Christian ethos. This role offers a caring, enthusiastic and passionate person the opportunity to contribute to the development of Romsey Mill’s Pre-school provision.
You will work with 2-3 year olds delivering early years provision that supports each child’s development in line with the
Early Years Foundation Stage. You will work as part of a team to provide a welcoming, enjoyable and stimulating
environment for children, that enhances their life chances and enables them to fully belong, positively
contribute and thrive.
The successful candidate must demonstrate a commitment to Romsey Mill’s values and support the Christian ethos of the organisation.
Hours: 18hrs hrs per wk
(38 weeks Term Time)
Salary range: £8.25 per hr

ROMSEY MILL

 

FINANCE & ACCOUNTS OFFICER

 

Location: Cambridge, Cambridgeshire

Part time working: minimum of 22.5 hours (0.6 FTE) and maximum of 30 hours (0.8FTE)

Salary Range: £27,668 to £28,485 (pro-rata)

Permanent Contract

We want to appoint a qualified, skilled, and dedicated Finance Officer to oversee, deliver and develop the effective operation of all Romsey Mill’s financial processes, transactions, accounting systems and reporting.  This is an exciting and fulfilling opportunity for an enthusiastic, mission-minded, person to become a key team member in the operations and development of a creative and compassionate local charitable organisation, making great difference for good with vulnerable young people, children and families.

You will work collaboratively with Romsey Mill’s CEO and other members of our Leadership & Management Team. In particular, as our Finance Officer you will be responsible for:

·         General bookkeeping and implementation of financial processes using our Sage accounting and payroll software packages, maintaining up-to-date and properly organised accounts.

·         Managing other finance team members to maintain the finance policies, procedures, books and records of Romsey Mill Trust and any related interests.

·         Supporting the operations, with project and fund reporting, annual budgeting and other business performance assistance.

·         Efficient quarter-end procedures and finance/ management reporting to CEO and Trustees.

·         Preparation of the published annual financial statements.

You will also manage a finance assistant and give direction to other staff team members.  The role requires someone who is supportive of our Christian values and ethos and open to share in the spiritual life of Romsey Mill. We are looking for a talented Trusts Fundraiser to join our team and to help us deliver Romsey Mill’s purposes.  This is an exciting and fulfilling opportunity for an enthusiastic, mission-minded, person to become part of the resourcing and development of a creative and compassionate local charitable organisation, making great difference for good with vulnerable young people, children and families.

You will work within our fundraising team - consisting of our Fundraising & Communications Manager, our existing part-time Trusts Fundraiser and our Individuals & Communities Fundraiser - helping to secure and grow grants and investment from Trusts and other funding bodies and communicating with them to grow and maintain positive partner relationships.

To be successful in the role you will have a track record of securing grants from Trusts and Charitable Foundations and proven experience of exceeding targets. You will also assist with the raising of unrestricted voluntary funds and communication with supporters and the general public.
