Coffee Shop Assistant Manager

 

We have two youth work opportunities, in Linton (in partnership with The Beacon Trust) and in Trumpington.

 COFFEE SHOP ASSISTANT MANAGER

As part of the Romsey Mill team, you’ll assist in the running of Cara Coffee Shop at 29 High Street, Shelford. As our assistant manager you will be responsible for the operation of the coffee shop on designated days, showing welcome & hospitality; preparing food and drinks; providing wonderful customer care; supervising and supporting volunteers and sessional staff; recording sales; maintaining high standards of cleanliness & food hygiene. You will share responsibility with the Cara Coffee Shop manager for growing community interest, developing exciting enterprise opportunities and supporting the partnership with Great Shelford Free Church and other local groups.

Job Description and Accompanying Information

Part-time: 22.5 hrs per week

The normal working week will be over three days, Monday to Saturday, with flexibility needed over days worked. This includes working a minimum of one and up to two Saturdays per month.

Salary range:  £17,007 - £18,870 pro-rata

 LEAD YOUTH DEVELOPMENT WORKER – LINTON

In partnership with The Beacon Trust

This role offers a highly enthusiastic and passionate youth worker the opportunity to lead an area team and be actively engaged in both church and community environments. You will pioneer, engage in, and develop, community based youth activities building relationships ‘at risk’ young people (10-21) supporting them to overcome challenges and live fulfilling lives. You will provide opportunities for young people to explore deepen and express their faith with particular focus on discipling young people of Linton Free Church and St Marys CofE.

2 year fixed term with probable extension

37.5 hrs p/w

Salary range: £22,401-25,463

 PART-TIME YOUTH SUPPORT WORKER - TRUMPINGTON

You will support the Lead Youth Development Worker in pioneering youth work provision in Trumpington - an area experiencing rapid growth in the south of Cambridge City - supporting young people (aged 10-21) to overcome challenge, live fulfilling lives and inspire change in the world around them. You will deliver youth work sessions such as detached, one-to-one work, young-people-led group activities, open access youth clubs, school based early intervention and transfer support, alternative education and residential experiences that enable young people to overcome disadvantage, and develop personal, social and spiritual well-being.

15-22.5 hrs p/w (flexible to suit successful candidate)

Salary range: £17,681- £19,158 pro rata
