Christmas Appeal 2021 - Aspire

 A Life Changing Gift

This year, Romsey Mill's Christmas Appeal focusses on our unique work through Aspire, with local autistic young people and their families.  Any donation that you could make would be a life changing gift for them!

Our Aspire groups provide safe, autism-friendly settings that enable autistic young people to make friends with others, something that many of them would otherwise find very difficult. Our team is also on hand to discuss concerns parents have about their child circumstances, to suggest practical strategies and just to provide a listening ear that can help to alleviate the isolation many parents of autistic children feel as they do all they can to support their child.

One parent wrote:

‘Our son made his only friend in the work at the youth club. It is a lifeline! We can’t imagine his life without Aspire.’

Many families have described the support they receive from Aspire as a lifeline. And there is no other provision available like this for young people and families in Cambridgeshire.  We currently support 150 children and young people and their families and have over 50 others currently on our waiting lists.

Your support for our Christmas Appeal this year, would be a life changing gift, and help to maintain our presence with autistic young people and their families, as they build relationships, and feel that they are no longer alone!
