Keep your eyes peeled for NEW INFLUENCES - an exhibition throughout Cambridge from Cambridge Art Salon and Romsey Mill's second Women of Influence project entitled 'Female Voices'. Funded by the Arts Council, this exhibition of posters features portraits by Aurora Cacciapuoti, My Linh Le and Louisa Taylor, plus feminist typography and inspirational quotes from women interviewed by a Romsey Mill girls group. To win a prize of goodies, share or post your photos of the posters to #femalevoicesnow or to https://www.facebook.com/womeninfluence
On 8 March, visit the Cambridge Women of the World (WOW) Festival at The Junction to see a range of pop videos, performance poetry and footage of Women of Influence interviews, plus discussions from art installation The Women's Room, by artist Sa'adiah Khan. A full programme and tickets available here.
Alternatively, celebrate the launch of the project's book at Waterstones in Cambridge between 6-7.30pm on 19 March, with a rare chance to see feminist nail wraps made by the Women Of Influence girls group and artist Phoebe Davies, featuring inspirational women such as Every Day Sexism's Laura Bates, FGM activist Fahma Mohamed, performance poet Hollie Mcnish and more.
