Long term Romsey Mill supporters, Don and Pam Fisher, hosted a barbecue for forty-five other committed friends of the Mill, offering them a chance to reconnect with friends and to be reminded (as if that were necessary!) of Romsey Mill's vision and purpose.
These advocates of our work met in Don and Pam's lovely garden for food, music and conversation. Music was provided by Sing!, a new community choir rehearsing each week at Romsey Mill.
Diane Hicks, Community Fundraiser at Romsey Mill, said, 'We are so grateful to Don and Pam for giving us this chance to meet some of the wonderful people who have supported Romsey Mill for many years - some since our beginning in 1980. We need more people like these who are committed to their local community and support it quietly and generously.'
We were delighted to raise over £500, and were very grateful also for donations of food from Barker’s Bakers, Beaumont butchers, the Co-op (Mill Road) and Limoncello’s (Mill Road).
