Young people from Romsey Mill's Alternative Education programme, Step-Up, had a message to give about road safety and organised a flash mob event to make sure their message was heard. With the slogan 'Don't use your mobile phone and drive' they held their flash mob in the Grafton shopping centre. They challenged the public to complete an electronic game while texting that message - an impossible task as everyone found out but equivalent to the demands of texting and driving at the same time.
Cambridgeshire Road Safety Team, who were partners in this project, sent the young people this encouragement: 'You were BRILLIANT this morning. Very impressed with your flashmob. Fab idea, well executed.'
