Most of us regard the summer holiday season with a level of anticipation and excitement.
The summer holidays can be a time to do exciting things with those we love, a change of scene, visiting new places and having fresh adventures; a chance to get away from things; and a time for physical and spiritual refreshment.
Sadly, for many of the families with whom we work, the summer holidays offer little or none of those things - because of cost or circumstance.
At Romsey Mill, we recognise the importance of making the summer special for everyone.
Therefore, each year, our teams plan special trips and activities - outside of our regular funded programmed delivery - so that young people and families can have the opportunity to do something special in their summer holidays. We will have over 30 different activities and trips; with over 300 young people, children and families taking part.
These activities range from sports clubs for young people; to family day trips to the seaside, or the zoo; or outdoor activity residential trips. The majority of these events and trips are not funded as part of our regular programmes, but we know how much they are valued and enjoyed by the families and young people with whom we work.
We would be delighted if you would like to partner with us, by making a contribution towards these activities, and helping make this summer special for everyone.
