KingsGate Community Church Raises Funds for Romsey Mill

< Back to listing

KingsGate Community Church is celebrating its fifth anniversary in the city of Cambridge and during this time its support for Romsey Mill's work has grown - providing us with lots of energetic and enthusiastic volunteers for our activities, programmes and events.

As part of its celebrations, on Saturday 28th November, KingsGate held a special gala event to raise funds and awareness for Romsey Mill and CareZone (KingsGate's charity for social action in Peterborough).

Over 160 guests attended the event - a fantastic evening of live music, dinner, inspirational speakers and a whole host of other entertainments.

Neil Perry, Romsey Mill's Chief Executive spoke at the dinner, thanking KingsGate for their support over the years, and for putting on such a great event.

Neil said Romsey Mill's work could be descibed as "Love does", having a concern for those that are in need of support, and also putting that love for people into practice by getting alongside them, to help them out of difficult circumstances. An approach that he recognised in the work of KingsGate through their willingness to get involved with Romsey Mill in practical ways.
