We are recruiting two positions within our Young Parents Programme (YPP)
YOUNG PARENTS DEVELOPMENT WORKER
&
YOUNG FATHERS DEVELOPMENT WORKER
You will initiate, develop and deliver direct support and opportunities for young parents in Cambridge City and surrounding area. As part of a team, you will provide intensive personal, educational and parenting support alongside teenage parents equipping them and their children for positive futures. You will involve young parents in the co-production of opportunities and services but it is likely that work will include one-to-one support, home visiting, antenatal and postnatal groups and life-skills courses. Work with young fathers will also include the development of young father-specific groups and interest-based activities. This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in developing the work of the Young Parents Programme at Romsey Mill that has been leading on this work since 1998. Your support will enable young parents to overcome disadvantage, and develop personal, social and spiritual well-being. You will also be involved in sharing good practice and training other professionals across the county in engaging and supporting young parents.
3 year fixed term with probable extension
37.5 hrs per week but we will consider fewer hrs/flexible working
or a job-share
(willing to discuss flexibility to suit successful candidate)
Salary range: £21,322 - £25,481
