Co-op Community Fund to the Rescue

< Back to listing

We knew that our 2 mini buses were in need of replacing but it was still a sad day when we got the call from Mark, one of our youth leaders, that the Sunshine mini bus was just unable to go on.  Thanks to the breakdown service, police and Diane Hicks, our north city youth group were able to switch buses and continue their journey to Bounce in St Neots.

We are not too down hearted though because we received news last month that the Co-op Community Fund had chosen our project to raise funds for a New Romsey Mill Mini Bus. So for the next 12 months, if you are a Co-op member and have chosen Romsey Mill as your charity, 1% of what you spend on Co-op branded goods/services (and the proceeds from carrier bag sales) will be donated to our Mini Bus Appeal.

If you voted for Romsey Mill in the last round, THANK YOU so much.  The referbishment of the Sports Hall is planned for early 2018.

For this round however you will have to vote again for where you want your 1% to go.  Please chose Romsey Mill and help us get a new minibus for our work with children and young families.

What can you do?
