Romsey Mill has a Christian ethos underpinning our values and exists to serve all young people and families, regardless of their own position concerning faith. We employ some staff, and welcome many volunteers, who would not identify themselves as Christians. The Christian faith is at the heart of why Romsey Mill exists, but is rarely at the forefront of what staff say. We are not a proselytising organisation: our Christian ethos is principally worked out through social action.
We find that the Christian ethos, values and behaviours underpinning our work produce passion, commitment, care and humility in our team. Young people and families with whom we work express relief and delight at being accepted for who they are, and not judged. This is part of what makes Romsey Mill’s work unique and effective.
