Thank you to everyone who helped to make this year's Bridge the Gap Walk (11th September 2016) such a success.
Over 2,000 people took part in the charity walk around the Univeristy of Cambridge's amazing college grounds, and helped to raise money for Romsey Mill and the Arthur Rank Hospice Charity - the two charity partners for the event.
The event proved to be a big hit with families of all ages - and took place on a lovely sunny morning - which made the views of the Colleges even more stunning.
Neil Perry, Romsey Mill’s Chief Executive, who took part in the walk said: “It was a fantastic event, which was a memorable occasion for all involved. It was great to see so many people turn out - including the familiar faces of families that we have worked with over the years."
He added: “The Bridge the Gap walk is a great event that brings the whole of Cambridge together, to support two important local charities and the people they serve. We are grateful for the backing of The Cambridge Buidling Society, other local businesses and The Rotary Club; and of course the Univeristy of Cambridge - who all helped to make it a great event."
Neil concluded: "We are delighted to be involved, and the money raised on the day will help us in our vital work with children, young people and families, here in Cambridge, who are experiencing difficult times and welcome our much needed practical support, encouragement and hope.”
