At Romsey Mill we enjoy a challenge.
Our staff work together with children, young people and families to enable them to face and overcome their challenges on a daily basis. Some of you will remember the '3 Peaks Challenge' that a number of teams took part in back in June 2005 and more recently of course, our CEO, Neil Perry completed his ‘23 Peak Challenge' in October 2013. We are now challenging our friends and supporters to join us in attempting to go one better than Neil and endure a tougher challenge than the 3 Peaks and complete a 24 Peak Challenge in 2014!
The 24 Peak Challenge will take place in the beautiful Lake District from 25th – 27th April 2014 and is a tough but rewarding challenge that will give participants a fantastic two-day experience in one of England’s most popular and scenic mountain areas. If you have never done something like this but always wanted to set yourself a personal, physical challenge and push yourself to the limit, then this is the one for you.
You will not only catch a glimpse of how we are trying to make a difference to those in our local community through the work of Romsey Mill but you will also be part of that difference!
If you are a hardened walker and could rise to the challenge of leading one of the teams, please sign up!
The total mileage covered is around 32 miles and the total height climbed is over 13,000 feet. While an incredible feat, don’t be put off – you can do it! We will provide training advice, and remember 6 months prior to his double-marathon run, Neil had only run 5 miles…anything is possible!
