“Romsey Mill improved my confidence and got me used to doing something positive. I really enjoyed the uniformed services course and it made me want to continue at college. The lifeguard qualification was the real turning point. It completely broke the ice with everything and helped me overcome my fears. I had to work under pressure and step out of my comfort zone. After that I felt that I could do anything I wanted to.”
Kieran took part in our ‘Step-up’ programme for two years, participating in the Sports Leadership and Uniformed Services courses and completing a lifeguard qualification. He is now at college in the second year of a Level 2 Uniformed Services Course and in the future is hoping to join the army.
