Encouragement, confidence, success!

< Back to listing

Sam was worried about starting secondary school, and lacked confidence. When her Transitions group began she was very quiet and nervous about joining in.

With support from Naomi, Transitions Worker, she became more confident about participating, even in discussions. She came to an activity day at Romsey Mill and her confidence grew throughout the morning with encouragement from her peers during team challenges.

Naomi said, ‘It was lovely to see her come out of her shell.’ Sam has started secondary school with increased confidence and is doing well in her school work.
